It has been a hard few years for most of us & personally it has been a sad time recently. Both my lovely parents have been ill for the last few years & sadly passed away in March & May of this year. They had long happy lives & it was just latterly that their lives were hard. My two sisters & our families were so lucky to have them in our lives for so long.
I have continued to paint throughout this period. It was my constant in all the turmoil. My father, as I have said before, was an artist, so painting always makes me feel close to him. My mother was a keen gardener, so plenty of planting & weeding helps me stay close to her. For the foreseeable future “Joy” will be my theme for painting. Joy in the little things, flowers, skies, water & the inspirational colours of nature. We must grab joy where we can at the moment. Take care.
